Import your activities from Strava
Already recorded your runs, walks and rides with Strava? Download them and import them into Urban Canvas to see right away which streets you've already completed.
This works best on a computer: exporting is only possible on strava.com, not in the Strava app.
All activities at once
- Log in at strava.com.
- Open Settings from your profile picture in the top right, then My Account.
- Under Download or Delete Your Account, click Get Started.
- In step 2, click Request Your Archive.
- Strava sends you an email with a download link, which can take a few hours. Download the ZIP file and unzip it.
- Your activities are in the
activitiesfolder. In Urban Canvas, open More → Import activities, select all the files in it and tap Upload.
Urban Canvas reads GPX and FIT files, also compressed ones (.gpx.gz, .fit.gz). Activities you once uploaded as a TCX file (.tcx.gz) can't be read yet. Export those one by one as GPX (see below).
Single activities
- Open the activity on strava.com.
- Click the … menu on the left, then Export GPX.
- Import the file under More → Import activities.
Good to know
- You can safely import the same files again. Activities you've already imported are skipped.
- You need an Urban Canvas account to import activities.
