Import your activities from Garmin Connect
Recording your runs, walks and rides with a Garmin watch or bike computer? Download them from Garmin Connect and import them into Urban Canvas to see right away which streets you've already completed.
This works best on a computer, since you'll need to unzip some files.
All activities at once
- Log in at garmin.com/account and open Data Management.
- Click Export Your Data, then Request Data Export.
- Garmin sends you an email with a download link, which can take a few days. Download the ZIP file and unzip it.
- Open the
DI_CONNECT/DI-Connect-Uploaded-Filesfolder. It contains one or more ZIP files with your activities. Unzip those too. - In Urban Canvas, open More → Import activities, select the
.fitfiles and tap Upload.
Activities without GPS, like treadmill runs, are skipped with an error. They don't have any streets Urban Canvas could count.
Single activities
- Open the activity on connect.garmin.com.
- Click the gear icon in the top right, then Export to GPX.
- Import the file under More → Import activities.
Good to know
- You can safely import the same files again. Activities you've already imported are skipped.
- You need an Urban Canvas account to import activities.
